Angelina Curtis, Head Coach 

 

Angelina grew up in Arlington, TX and attended James Bowie High School. She played varsity volleyball as an outside hitter and defensive specialist and softball as the shortstop. At Sterling College in Sterling, KS Angelina was a 4-year starter as a libero and shortstop. As a three-year captain, Angelina helped lead her team to the 2006 Conference Tournament. She received multiple Academic Dean’s Honor roll, 1st Team All-Conference, and the 2006 All-Tournament Player.

After graduation, Angelina went to play semi-pro softball in Germany for the Grizzlies in Munich, DE. There she explored, learned a new language and once again met up with her soon to be husband Anthony where he was playing NFL Europa.

Angelina is married now to Anthony and has two girls Alena (10) & Ava (7), Addison (4) and a black lab named Nyra. She resides in Colleyville, TX and this will be her 7th year coaching coming from Coppell High School where they were District Champs in 2017. She will be teaching Health this school year along with being the varsity assistant for volleyball. Coach Curtis’ Goal for 2019 Season: Is to work hard, play hard, and build character!

Courtney Bingham, Varsity Assistant 

Courtney Bingham is a product of Arlington High School where she was a 4-year starter for the Colts and helped the Colts to 3 district championships. Courtney would then continue her career at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she etched her name in the record books of MSU and the Lone Star Conference. Courtney was a 4-year starter in the outfield for the Mustangs and was the first MSU player to become a NFCA 2x All- American. Courtney was also the first player in the LSC to win two Golden Glove awards. At MSU, she helped her team finish 3rd at the Division II National Tournament in 2011. Courtney finished her career as the record holder for doubles, triples and runs scored at MSU and is the all-time leader in doubles for MSU and the LSC with 72. Courtney Bingham is the daughter of Bob and Vanessa Bingham who reside in Arlington. She has two siblings and an adorable niece, Tessa, who is a year old. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, friends and her pets. Courtney enjoys spending time outdoors doing yard work and gardening. She spends a week out of the summer at Sooner Youth Camp, as a counselor, at the church camp she grew up going to.

 

Courtney comes to GHS from WFHS where she has spent the last 4 years as a teacher and coach. She teaches Biology and was the head coach for the past two years at WFHS. Courtney has high hopes for the upcoming season and is excited to be a Mustang again. Her goal for this upcoming season is to help the team reach their full potential on and off the field. 

Heath Dudley, JV Assistant 

Coach Dudley is currently in his 14th year in the teaching/coaching profession.  He teaches Geometry and Health and also assists the boy’s basketball program at GHS.  Prior to GHS, his most recent stop was at Lake Highlands High School.  Before Lake Highlands, he had stops at Canton HS, Katy HS, Lehman HS, A&M Consolidated MS and Coldspring HS.  Each place has had its own part in helping mold him into the teacher that he is today.  Coach Dudley is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Trinity Valley Community College.  He and his wife Shelly have been married for four years and have a daughter, Cara.
